Confirmed reports reaching Halgan Media reveal scores of Somalis where mercilessly massacred by Oromo paramilitary militia’s in the city of Moyale in Libaan province. According to local contacts the onslaught began after armed Oromo militia’s launched a brazen cross border raid targeting the city.
The city of Moyale which sits on the border between Ogaden and the neighboring Oromo regional state has been at the forefront of communal violence over the past weeks. Locals in the vicinity of the city reveal truck loads of Oromo militia’s entered Moyale and began indiscriminately opening fire on civilians and destroying property as they layed siege to the city for hours.
In the midst of the mayhem, a total of seventeen Somalis where gunned down and dozens more wounded. Residents have informed Halgan Media large parts of the cities infrastructure remains riddles with bullets as a result of the onslaught. The Oromo regional administration headed by the OPDO junta is yet to condemn or even acknowledge this attack.

Attacks of this nature constitute a crime against humanity and violation of international law. The most disturbing part is the silence on the part of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed as the conflict between Somalis and Oromo’s on the border region continues to escalate at unprecedented levels affecting the most vulnerable from the two neighboring communities, which are civilians.
