Three hundred troops finished training at the district of Wanlawayn and will be incorporated into the elite Daraawish unit of Somalia’s autonomous Southwest regional state.

Halgan Media correspondents reveal spotting the Southwest minister of security Isaak Ali Subaag and the commander of the elite Daraawish unit, Yonis Hassan Adan at the venue.

The event was adjourned with the district commissioner of Wanlawayn Mohamed Siidow Abdirahman giving a closing statement according to local correspondents based in Wanlawayn.

Southwest state officials have informed Halgan Media that these new batch of troops will be stationed locally in the vicinity of Wanlawayn to tackle the deteriorating security situation in the area and repel insurgent attacks.
