Confirmed reports reaching the Halgan Media service desk reveal a large bomb blast struck an Ethiopian military convoy deep in the heart of occupied southern Somalia near the town of Ceelbarde in Bakool province. 

Local contacts reveal the Ethiopian military convoy was traveling on a dirt road near the town of Ceelbarde, than shortly later struck what’s believed to be a roadside bomb or improvised explosive device. The convoy was subsequently engulfed in flames as a result of the subsequent explosion. 

This latest incident comes less than a week after an Ethiopian Army base in the city of Baydhabo in nearby Bay province was shelled with a heavy barrage of Mortar rounds by AL Shabaab fighters.
