Ethiopian troops detained and tortured a civilian in the city of Wardheer in Doolo province,
Local residents that spoke with Halgan Media on condition of anonymity reveal the incident occurred mid afternoon yesterday. Its not clear why the troops detained the victim but the individual was tortured in a brutal manner according to the locals.
Following the illegal detainment and torture, the victim was whisked away to a detention center manned by the Ethiopian army in the city of Wardheer. The victim is said to be currently under arbitrary detention at the hands of the Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF) stationed in the area.
Family members of the victim that spoke with Halgan Media requested that we need release the name of the victim for confidentiality purposes and out of fear of reprisal from the Ethiopian troops based in Wardheer.
