Confirmed reports received from the Ogaden reveal Paramilitary Forces from the Afar regional state launched a cross border raid targeting the Somali border town of Alaale in Sitti province.
Local contacts in Sitti province that spoke with Halgan Media on anonymity reveal the incident occurred mid afternoon yesterday. According to eyewitnesses, Afar Militants traveling in multiple Toyota pick up truck besieged the town of Alaale, situated outside Cadayti district.
The Afar paramilitary forces began indiscriminately opening fire on defenseless civilians. The subsequent barrage of bullets left scores of Somalis laying in a pool of blood.
Once the smoke cleared a total of 15 Somalis lay dead, with 8 others wounded. Following the onslaught the paramilitary forces from the neighboring Afar regional state withdrew from the Somali border town of Alaale.
Halgan Media has been able to obtain the names of 12 out of the 15 victims that where killed along with the 8 civilians that where wounded, which are listed below.

The Somali regional state based in the capital Jigjiga led by Mustafa Cagjar is yet to comment on these latest string of killings targeting Somalis in the border region.
