The Ethiopian National Defense Force has engaged in a series of air strikes this morning targeting militant fighters from the Oromo Liberation Front rebel group in the Western tip of the Oromo regional state in Western Ethiopia.

Confirmed reports coming out of the capital Addis Ababa reveal a barrage of air strikes where carried out targeting training camps hosting an unknown number of Oromo Liberation Front fighters. These latest developments comes as tit for tat skirmishes between OLF militants and Ethiopian troops have escalated in recent weeks.

Oromo Liberation Front rebel leader Daud Ibsa who recently returned to Ethiopia after many years in exile in neighboring Eritrea is yet to comment on these latest developments.
