Insurgents from the Al Aqaeda linked armed group Al Shabaab carried out a series of attacks in the Kenyan occupied Somali region of NFD.
According to local media reports, two Kenyan soldiers where killed in an ambush on the road linking the towns of Kintoo and Taagaabo.
Following the ambush, the Al Shabaab fighters reportedly seized supplies from the Kenyan military convoy that includes logistical supplies and ammunition before fleeing on foot.
Two more seperate attacks where reported in the Wajeer province of the occupied NFD region targeting Kenyan military contingents, in the vicinity of the towns of Ceel-Raam and Kotonon.
Several Kenyan troops where killed and wounded in both of these attacks. The armed group Al Shabaab routinly carried out attacks in the Kenyan occupied Somali region of NFD.
