Intense clashes erupted between feuding clans in a town near the district of Imeey Galbeed in Afdheer province, residents reveal.
It’s not clear what led to the clashes. However residents have confirmed to the Halgan Media service desk at least 5 people where killed from the warring sides.
Scores more where wounded. Luckily the clashes have stalled for the moment yet the situation remains volatile.
The latest spate of violence near Imeey Galbeed comes just a day after similar clashes rocked the district in Salaxaad, leaving countless civilians dead.
As expected authorities in Jigjiga have fallen on death ears and have yet to concrete steps to diffuse the situation, which many see as a sign of complicity.
