Halgan Media correspondents based in Eastern Ogaden reveal a string of murders occurred within the past 24 hours. Both incidents took place just hours apart in the town of Bali Haraale in Doolo province.
The first killing was reported mid afternoon yesterday, when armed gun men wielding pistols approached an unsuspecting civilian and opened fired. The victim died instantly from the gun shot wounds and has been identified as Abdinasib Muuse Diriye. The culprits that carried out the brazen killing fled the scene on foot according to locals.
The second murder occurred this morning within the past hour in the vicinity of the same town (Bali Haraale) as assailants emptied a hail of bullets on a young men. Local contacts have identified the victim as Deeq Sheekh Doon. The perpetrators escaped the scene shortly afterwards. It’s not clear weather the Murder of Deeq Sheekh is connected to the previous killing that occurred yesterday afternoon.
