The ministry of revenue for Ethiopia’s federal government has announced the arrest of an individual of Nigerian who was apprehended with 23 kilograms of gold at Bole international airport in Addis Ababa.
According to a report published by the pro regime media outlet dubbed FANA, the individual whose name is undisclosed, was reportedly attempting to get on board of Dubai bound flight from Bole international and was immediately detained with the merchandise.
The Ethiopian regime did not provide further detail on the incident. Bole international airport remains one of the most busiest airports in East Africa, in which smugglers have been caught on numerous occasions attempting to smuggle contraband.
