The European Union has announced it will close its external borders starting tomorrow at noon. The statement released from Brussels reveals no intra-European travel will be allowed for 30 days.

Europe has been deemed as the new epicentre of the coronavirus outbreak by the World Health Organization (WHO) which has killed thousands. Upon the ban going into effect, it’ll effect 28 countries, which are part of the EU.

The coronavirus which began in China has swiftly spread across, reaching pandemic levels. Italy and Germany remain the hardest hit with thousands dead and many more hospitalized.
