A blast hit a hotel overnight in the volatile Oromo region of Ethiopia, as a result of a grenade attack according to a report by the Amharic branch of VOA News.

The attack occurred in the city of Nekemete. Unknown culprits reportedly entered the hotel lobby, than hurled a grenade in the lobby. One person was killed in the explosion, while nine others where wounded. The culprits escaped the scene right afterwards according to the VOA report, but regarding in the manner they escaped still remains a mystery.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack. This is the second bomb attack on a hotel in the Oromo region of Ethiopia in recent weeks. A similar incident occurred recently in Eastern Wollega province, when a grenade attack left one person dead and three others wounded.

Sporadic bombings, armed clashes and lawlessness have become a norm in Ethiopia, since the OPDO Junta seized power. The lack of law and order along with the ethnic hostilities can led to catastrophic consequences for Ethiopia.
