Confirmed reports received by Halgan Media from the Ogaden reveal protests erupted this evening in the city of Wardheer in Doolo province.

Residents say hundreds of people began demonstrating as a result of dissatisfaction with the local administration overseeing the city of Wardheer. Local contacts went on to say that many residents where upset with the process for building the new administration, due to alleged clan favoritism.

The latest round of protests in Wardheer comes less than a week after similar protests took place in the city of Danood, which is situated north of Wardheer. Neither the local administration in Wardheer or the Regional State authorities based in Jigjiga could be reached for commenting regarding these spat of demonstrations.
