A large blast believed to be a roadside bomb occurred within the past hour in the volatile Huriwaa district of Mogadishu.

Local contacts reveal the blast hit a convoy carrying Foreign troops from the AU mission on patrol in Northern Mogadishu.

Following the blast, eyewitnesses confirm the Foreign forces began indiscriminately opening fire in an attempt to deter any subsequent attacks from militants.
