Unknown culprits hurled a hand grenade at the home of a police commander tonight in the volatile Dharkaynleey district of Mogadishu before fleeing on foot.
Halgan Media correspondents based in the capital Mogadishu reveal three people where wounded in the blast. The wounded include both security officers stationed at the home and residents that reside at the location.
The identity of the police commander has still not be released. Securiy forces arrived at the scene shortly after the blast and corndoned off the area before canvassing the surrounding neighborhoods.
As of tonight, there’s remains a heavy presence of government troops in the Dharkaynleey district. Authorities in Mogadishu are yet to comment on these latest incident.
No group has claimed responsibility for the grenade attack. Tonight’s incident just comes days after a Traditional elder identified as Abdirizak Yusuf better known as Shabel was gunned by Al Shabaab assassins for allegedly spying for the America’s Intelligence agency dubbed the CIA.
