Suspected US drones carried out a series of strikes moments ago targeting the Al Shabaab controlled town of Jilib in Somalia’s Middle Jubba province.

Local contacts based in the Jubba Valley confirm unidentified military aircraft, believed to be US drones carried out a series of strikes targeting the Militant stronghold of Jilib.

Sources reveal the strikes hit a densely populated civilian neighborhood in the town of Jilib, and that smoke was spotted billowing from several homes following the strikes.

Once the smoke cleared and the aeriel siege on the town ceased, the lifeless bodies of three children where spotted laying in a pool of blood according to reliable sources that spoke with Halgan Media on condition of anonymity.

This latest bloody US drone raid in Somalia just comes a day after US AFRICOM released its quarterly report and admitted civilians where killed in a drone strike targeting the same town of Jilib in February of this year.

However it remains to be seen if AFRICOM will address the latest string of civilian killings in Somalia or label these victims as terrorists like they usually do.
