Confirmed reports received from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia reveal Ethiopian Federal Police arrested 40 high ranking military officers and intelligence officials according to state media.
All the individuals detained and subsequently imprisoned hail from the Ethiopian military company known as METEC, which is one of the largest private firns owned by key officials within Ethiopia’s security apparatus.
The individuals put under arrest where charged with various crimes ranging from looting state funds to embezzlement. Media reports reveals that the 40 military officers and intelligence officials where summoned to a meeting in Addis Ababa in which they where all immediately detained and charged with various crimes ranging from looting state funds to embezzlement.
