Locals who’ve chosen to speak with Halgan Media on anonymity reveal at least 55 people where arrested by Ethiopian ground forces during a string of sweeps that erupted in the Sheekh Xabib neighborhood of Diridaba over the past 48 hours.
Children and elderly folks where rounded up in a string of arrests that sweeped the Sheekh Xabib neighborhood in Diridaba as clashes ensues between the indigenous Somali population and Oromo settlers residing in the city.
Halgan Media has not been able to get names of the Victims as the numbers of arrests by Ethiopian troops continue to increase in Sheekh Xabib and other Somali inhabited neighborhoods. The current wellbeing of those illegally detained by Ethiopian ground forces still remains unknown as chaos continues to ensue throughout the Diridaba and the surrounding areas.
