Two Somali pastoralists where ambushed and subsequently shot an wounded by heavily armed Oromo militia men, shortly after the Maghrib prayer. Upon suffering severe gun shot wounds from the attack, the local administration in the town of Dheka Sufti requested a vehicle to transfer the victims for medical treatment.
Ironically the vehicle that was supposed to pick up the victims, was ambushed by another batch of heavily armed Oromo militia fighters, after they came under fierce gunfire but miraculously the passengers in the vehicle survived without a scratch on them.
According to confirmed reports the two wounded Somali pasrolists ambushed in the town of Dheka Sufti are currently being treated in the city of Filtu in Libaan province as a result of the wounds they suffered.
This latest incident comes less than 24 hours after Oromo paramilitary militias backed by Ethiopian Troops masscred 11 Somalis in the border town of Tuuliguleed in Fafaan province.
Over the past year and half Oromo militias have been launching premeditated cross border raids indiscriminately targeting Somali inhabited villages and towns on the Ogaden-Oromo border region on the pretext of territorial expansionism. What’s more concerning is that these reoccurring massacres, that are equivalent to ethnic cleansing have been rapidly increasing since Abiy Ahmed and the Fascist OPDO Junta seized power in April.
