A command post established in west Wollega zone, Oromia regional state, has recovered weapons and properties looted during the instability in the zone.

Service delivery institutions, including government structures at all levels, have also resumed their normal operations, said Dejene Gebre, head of office of the command post.

According to Ethiopian State Media, the recovered weapons include 110 Kalashnikovs, 41 pistols, 20 hand grenades, over 4,000 bullets, 14 vehicles, and 28 motorcycles, among others. The operations conducted by the Ethiopian military took place in a militant stronghold, which is home to rebels from the Oromo Liberation Front.
