Confirmed reports received from the Ogaden reveal Afar militias launched a cross border raid targeting the Somali border town of Alaale in Sitti province. The incident occurred yesterday on the 30th of June according to local contacts based in the area.
Local contacts that spoke with Halgan Media on anonymity reveal Militias and paramilitary forces from the neighboring Afar Regional State, struck the Somali border town of Alaale. The ensuing clashes sparked fierce clashes between both sides.
A total of four civilians where struck by a wave of shells fired from the invading Afar militias according to eyewitnesses. The victims suffered gun shot wounds to the lower body. Following the intense fire fight, the Afar militias retreated and dispersed.
