A police unit struck a roadside bomb while on patrol in the Somali capital Mogadishu, leaving two police officers dead.
The blast occurred in the Hodan district of Mogadishu. The pair of officers where said to have been cruising near the compound housing the Qatari embassy in Mogadishu.
Both officers died instantly in the blast as there vehicle subsequently engulfed in flames. The identities of either of these soldiers is not clear yet. However it’s been revealed one of these victims is a women.
No group has claimed responsibility for the bombing. Local authorities still haven’t commented on the latest bombing in the Somali capital.
The armed group Al Shabaab routinely carries out attacks on government troops and police in there relentless armed campaign against the Somali government and there Foreign backers.
