Confirmed reports reaching the Halgan Media service desk reveal gun wielding Paramilitaries from the neighboring Afar regional state launched a cross border raid targeting the Somali border town of Cadayti in Sitti province.
Local residents say the brunt of the onslaught took place in the village of Kadagarbaa which sits on the outskirts of Cadayti town. The heavily armed Afar Paramilitaries where traveling in pick up trucks carrying small arms fire. Upon reaching Kadagarbaa village, the militants began indiscriminately opening fire on civilians. When the smoke cleared two villagers where spotted lifeless in a pool of blood, while three others where wounded yet still clinging to life.

The border town of Cadayti and the surrounding Somali inhabited villages sit on the volatile border with the hostile neighboring Afar regional state. The Somali regional state (Ogaden) based in Jigjiga is yet to comment on the latest string of killings tonight in the border region.
