A cholera outbreak has been reported in the Garbo district of Nogob province. Local residents that spoke with Halgan Media on the condition of anonymity reveal most of the victims are children.

Its not clear what caused the outbreak but the victims, whom in this case are mostly children are currently languishing at a makeshift medical clinic in the “Xafaada 1aad” neighborhood in the Garbo district. Residents reveal the medical staff are under equipped and short on the right supply of medicine to combat the disease outbreak.

The provincial administration overseeing Nogob province has still not addressed the issue nor have they implemented concrete solutions to prevent the spread of the disease. This has only added fuel to the fire and risks a wider outbreak of the disease according to the local residents.

Local contacts have been able to smuggle out these new photos from the makeshift medical clinic in the Garbo district.

We will keep you updated with this story as it continues to break.
