Confirmed reports reaching the Halgan Media service desk from the Ogaden reveal Ethiopian troops have illegally detained and beat a prominent elder in the Sheekh Xabib neighborhood of Diridaba in Shiniile province.
A leading elder from the city of Diridaba along with several others where stopped by Ethiopian troops in the Sheekh Abib neighborhood of the city. Upon being stopped and frisked by Ethiopian ground troops. The group was brutally beaten with rifles and left bleeding on the side of the road.
Abdi Obsiye Guleed, a leading community and clan elder of the Sheekh Xabib neighborhood in Diridaba spoke with Halgan Media shortly after his ordeal. The victim Abdi Obsiye Guleed said he was beat down with the barrel of a gun along with several others by the Ethiopian troops and went on to say there only crime was being Somali. Following the ordeal Abdi Obsiye Guleed and several other where whisked away to safety by local bystanders.
Abdi Obsiye Guleed is thankful to be alive and currently recovering at an undisclosed location in the Diridaba area.
