Flights connecting Muqdisho and Addis Ababa will be resuming once again after 41 years. The announcement comes after the Federal government of Somalia and Ethiopia signed an economic integration deal in mid June.
Ethiopian airline services have not traveled into Somali airspace since the Ogaden war of 1977 except for occasional Ethiopian airline flights to the north west city of Hargeysa. The flights connecting Addis Ababa and Muqdisho subsequently follows suite after the Federal Government of Somalia sighed off four seaports to the landlocked nation of Ethiopia.
