Four ONLF Members Illegally Arrested

Four members of the ONLF have been under arbitrary detention for the past 14 days in the city of Wardheer, after being detained by security forces in the town of Dhurwaa Hararaf, which is situated outside the district of Lahelow according to a report published yesterday by the Ogaden News Agency (ONA).

The report published on ONA revealed the four individuals where tortured upon being detained in a town outside the Lahelow district, in which they where transferred to the provincial capital of Wardheer. The report also revealed the mayor of Lahelow identified as Abdifatah Sulub was criminally complicit in the illegal arrest of the four individuals by giving the orders.

What prompted the illegal arrest remains unknown. Similar incidents have been reported in the past in the towns of Danood, Daratoole and Wardheer according to the report published on ONA.
