General Ahmed Mohamed Mohamud of the Liyuu Police paramilitary force announced preparation for 3,000 more new recruits. The announcement came during an interview with Jigjiga based SRTV.
During the interview General Ahmed said the 3,000 new recruits will bolster the strength and man power of the Liyuu Police. The General went on to say that the new batch of recruits hail from the various 11 provinces in Ogaden. Many Somalis view these latest rounds of developments as a publicity stunt and damage control by the puppet government in Jigjiga.
It was only last week when the Oromo backed puppet president Mustafa Omar (Cagjar) gave an interview to the online magazine Addis Standard, in which he stated his support for disbanding the Liyuu Police paramilitary force as well as encouraging for a centralized system of governance for Ethiopia. Many Somalis from the region, where angered by the comments made by Mustafa Omar (Cagjar) and accused of him of being an Abyssinian Apologist.
The Oromo backed puppet president Mustafa Omar (Cagjar) is yet to be seen in public or address the public regarding the vile comments he made in the Addis Standard interview.
