Reports received from the Gambella region of Western Ethiopia reveal massive protests have erupted across the region.
Thousands of people poured into the streets of the regional capital to demonstrate against the regional administration for not providing basic needs to constituents. Protesters also demanded change in leadership regarding the regional administration of Gambella, which is seen as a TPLF proxy.
Locals in Gambella accuse the fledgling administration for being rampant with corruption and perpetrating human rights violations against the population.
