The Liyuu Police paramilitary force have embarked on an disarmament program in the Ogaden, which is expected to span across two separate districts that are adjacent to one another.
Following recent strings of violence that rocked the district of Raaso in Afdheer province, which left scores dead and countless more wounded. The regional authorities in the capital Jigjiga have layed out a blue print, which would see a large scale disarmament program take effect in the area.
A similiar disarmament program is expected to take place in the nearby district of Salaxaad, which is situated across the provincial boundary in the nearby province of Erar. The
