Ethiopian Parliament today ratified a resolution that would rescind the designation of OLF, ONLF, and Ginbot 7 as terrorist organizations.
The Council of Ministers submitted the resolution to the Parliament for ratification last Saturday in accordance with to proclamation No.652/2009. Subsequently the Parliament passed the resolution unanimously.
The decision is meant to encourage the groups to use peaceful political discourse to achieve political ends.
