The Oromo regional state of Ethiopia has granted pardon for 7,029 inmates under the custody for various crimes according to state media FANA
Shimeles Abdissa, Deputy Chief Administrator of the Oromo regional state, said the inmates have exhibited good behaviors during their stay in prisons and are being pardoned for changing there criminal ways.
According to him, the inmates will join the society beginning today. The names or identities of the prisoners are yet to be released.
