Heavily armed Oromo militia fighters launched a cross border raid targeting the Somali border town of Tuliguuleed. Local residents reveal the onslaught occured mid afternoon, as clashes engulfed nearby villages.
Eyewitnesses informed the Halgan Media service desk that the assault began when Oromo Militants besieged the village of Dharcaseeye, situated on the outskirts of Tuliguuleed. The ensuing siege left one Somali pastoralist wounded.
A second wave of Oromo militia fighters stormed the nearby village of Gabagabo. Local Somali pastoralists where able to repel that cross border with Small arms fire according to local residents that spoke with Halgan Media on condition of anonymity.
The cross border raid targeting the villages surrounding Tuliguuleed comes a day after a similar incident occurred in the same vicinity. Late last night a young Somali pastoralist was shot and killed when Oromo Militants besieged Tuliguuleed.
As reported by Halgan Media that victim has been identified as Ibrahim Mohamed who was killed last night in the village of Dharcaseeye but buried the next morning in the nearby village of Daraami.
