Protests erupted today in the town of Wafdhuug in Doolo province against the Regional President Mustafa Omar. Hundreds of local residents poured into the streets denouncing the Junta based in Jigjiga and the newly appointed Governor of Doolo province.

The latest string of protests in Wafdhuug comes in the wake of violant clashes that took place between demonstrators and the Liyuu Militia on Wednesday in the nearby city of Wardheer. Residents in the town of Wafdhuug reveal tires where set ablaze with hundreds holding up banners calling for an end to political marginalization in Doolo province.

Protests in the town of Wafdhuug have ceased for the time being according to local residents that spoke with Halgan Media. The Junta based in Jigjiga is yet to address, let alone acknowledge the plight of residents in Doolo province. This level of negligence from Mustafa Omar (Cagjar) is expected to exasperate the already tense situation.
