This week the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) will be lifting sanctions on Eritrea, which have been put in place since 2009.
Lifting of the sanctions on Eritrea will provide much needed economic and political relief for the Red Sea nation. According to experts Eritrea has been wronged by the international community on trumped up accusations in which the country has suffered immensely for nearly a decade, which has isolated the nation.
Eritrea has been viewed as a beacon of hope by many non Abyssinians in the Horn of Africa for there resilience in facing great odds and there overwhelming support for non Abyssinian ethnic groups in the Horn of Africa through our the years.
