Police have arrested scores of individuals suspected of throwing a hand grenade at a police camp overnight in Burayu town in the volatile Oromo region of Ethiopia. The grenade attack on the police camp left nine officers wounded.
According to a report by the state owned Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation (EBC) the Oromo regional state Communications Affairs Office revealed that about 22 people are under custody in connection with the grenade attack.
Identities of the individuals in custody have not been released but its believed that these perpetrators are linked to the various armed factions and paramilitaries operating in the militant infested Oromo region in Ethiopia.
