Two men where shot and killed overnight as a result of a clan feud near the district of Shilaabo in the Ogaden region.

Local contacts based in the Qorahay province of the Ogaden have informed Halgan Media that the incident took place last night in the town of Caleen, which is adjacent to the district of Shilaabo.

A group of armed men wielding AK-47 assault rifles shot the duo in the town of Caleen, where they both died instantly according to the locals.

Clashes between rural communities in the Somali Peninsula often occur due to a number of issues that include disputes over land, water wells and in many cases acts of retaliation as a result of previous violent encounters.
