A young school girl was robbed and killed tonight, on the outskirts of the Somali capital, Mogadishu in the neighboring Lower Shabelle province.
According to local media reports, a high school student by the name of Hibo Kasim was robbed and murdered for her cell phone as she made her way home.
Hibo suffered multiple stab wounds to the upper portion of her body, causing heavy blood loss, in which she later died from.
Following the knife attack, the thieves seized the victims cellphone and fled the scene on foot, as they disappeared into the night.
Tonight’s violent incident took place in the Ceelasha-Biyaha district situated just outside Mogadishu. An area synonymous with high levels of crime and violence.
