A grenade attack tonight in the city of Beledweyne in Central Somalia, has left at least two people wounded.

Unknown assailants hurled a grenade at a restaurant frequented by government troops in the Suuqa Xoolaha neighborhood.

Both civilians and government soldiers where inside the restaurant during the grenade attack. Folllwing the blast, Security forces flooded the blast site and cordoned off the area.

Local medics responding to the scene where spotted carrying away two wounded individuals according to eyewitnesses that spoke with Halgan Media.

No group has claimed responsibility for Tonight’s grenade attack but the militant group Al Shabaab routinely carries out attacks on government troops and venues that are frequented by government forces.
