Police arrested unspecified number of people in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa for alleged involvement of criminal acts including robbery.
The arrest came after dozens of individuals criticized Addis Ababa police over its reluctance to take measures as armed gang members continued robbing businesses mainly in metropolis’ biggest open market known as Merkato.
Deputy Commissioner of the Addis Ababa Police revealed dozens of bars and night clubs where raided throughout city, which netted the police 600 plus suspects.
