A military convoy carrying Foreign forces under the AMISOM mandate just struck a roadside bomb moments ago, while on patrol in the Ceelasha Biyaha district on the outskirts of Mogadishu in the nearby Lower Shabelle province.

Local contacts based in the Ceelasha Biyaha district confirm the AMISOM convoy was severely damaged in the blast. Its not clear if there are any casualties from the roadside bombing as the situation is still unfolding.

This latest bomb attack comes just three days after a similar bomb blast hit a military convoy of foreign troops while on patrol in Northern Mogadishu.
