The Kenyan Defense Force (KDF) launched a series of strikes targeting a rural village in Jubada Hoose province. Local residents in the town of Afmadow that spoke with Halgan Media on anonymity reveal the KDF indiscriminately bombed civilian targets in the nearby village of Welmaarow.

Local contacts say the indiscriminate aerial bombardment targeting Welmarrow village was completely unprovoked. Densely populated civilian areas faced the brunt of the onslaught, which led to one person being severely wounded.

According to locals — the rural pastoralist wounded in the air strikes has been identified as Mohamed Ali Mohamed. Two donkeys belonging to the victim, where also killed in the strikes.

Following the strikes, the wounded pastoralist (Mohamed Ali Mohamed) was transferred to a makeshift medical facility in the town of Afmadow for medical treatment. The Kenyan military is yet to comment on this latest development as they continue to indiscriminately bomb Somalia.
