Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF) has released a statement from there official twitter page condemning the carnage and chaos that besieged the city of Moyaale in Libaan province, Ogaden.
ONLF statement reads as follows “ ONLF strongly condemns the mass killings against defenceless Somali civilians in #Moyale of Somali State by Oromo militias. 13 were confirmed dead and 20 wounded. We urge Ethi Gov and Somali Regional State to take immediate action to stop these violent militias attacking Somalis”
The statement also went on to say “ An immediately, comprehensive reconciliation process must be started by all stakeholders to end this calamity that may profoundly affect the fraternally relations between Somalis and Oromos. The onus lies on the side of the Ethiopian Federal gov. and the two regional states”
Over the past few months the city of Moyaale and other Somali cities, towns and villages on the Ogaden-Oromo border have been indiscriminately attacked by fanatical right wing Oromo militias with full backing of the OPDO Junta. Thousands of Somalis have been killed while hundreds of thousands more have been ethnically cleansed and displaced from there land.
