Thousands of people in the city of Qabridahare in Qoraxay province came together at a rally today in support of the historic agreement signed between the Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF) and Ethiopian government, which was signed in Asmara, Eritrea.
Jubilant supporters poured into the streets in mass, showing there public support for the initiative, which is the first of its kind. The accord signed in Asmara between the Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF) and Ethiopian government was attended by both the ONLF leadership and representatives of the Ethiopian Government. The president of the Somali regional state, Mustafa Omar was also in attendance.
The agreement which was inked in Asmara, comes on the eve of eminence change sweeping across the Horn of Africa. The agreement signed between the Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF) and Ethiopian government was a mutual gain for both sides, as the long standing conflict in the Ogaden has come to an end for the time being.
