The Somalis where under equipped but where able to maintain and repel the cross border raid with small arms fire. After encountering resistance with light duty weapons, the Oromo militants retreated in the direction of Jinicsani, which is the Oromo occupied Somali border town situated 20 kilometers away.

Ethiopian National Defense Forces (ENDF) arrived in the town shortly after the Oromo militants retreated. Its still not clear weather the Ethiopian troops came to maintain the peace or where  even perpetrators themselves. The ENDF has a military base on the outskirts of Tuliguuleed and where no where to be found while right wing fanatical Oromo militants where besieging the Somali border town. The troops arrived on the scene shortly after the Oromo militants abruptly retreated.

No casualties where confirmed in the clashes accoridng to local Halagn Media correspondents based in the area. This is the second cross border raid targeting the Somali border town of Tuliguuleed within the past 48 hours alone. A similiar incident occured yesterday when Oromo militants launched a cross border targeting Tuliguuleed which left one person wounded identified as Mahamuud Abdillahi as reported by Halgan Media.

The strategic Somali border town of Tuliguuleed is situated a mere 25 kilometers North of the capital Jigjia. However authorities in Jigjiga under the leadership of the pseudo Oromo backed puppet president Mustafa Omar (Cagjar) still remain silent on these atrocities unfolding in there backyard. Its widely believed, particularly by locals in Tuliguuleed that authorities in Jigjiga are complicit in these cross border raids due to there complete disregard for the calamities unfolding in nearby Tuliguuleed.
