Security forces launched operations aimed at tightening security in the city of Gaalkacyo in central Somalia.
Troops from the Galmudug regional state began searching public buses and civilian vehicles traveling on the main roads of the city.
Any vehicles spotted with tinted windows where stopped and impounded by security forces for further inspection.
The city of Galkacyo situated in Mudug province has seen a surge in Al Shabaab attacks, forcing local authorities to clamp down on the security situation.
