Water shortages are being reported in the town of Dhanaan in Shabelle province, according to local residents that spoke with Halgan Media.
Local contacts have informed the Halgan Media service desk that water is scarce in the town. Many residents have said the situation is being exacerbated due to high price of clean drinking water, which is unaffordable for many families in the town.
The town of Dhanaan is situated north of the provincial capital of Goday. The towns residents lack adequate access to basic services. The Regional administration based in the capital Jigjiga is yet to address the water shortage in Dhanaan.
