Confirmed reports reaching the Halgan Media service desk from the Somali border town of Garbo Ciise reveal clashes erupted mid afternoon, following a cross border raid. Local contacts that spoke with Halgan Media on anonymity reveal Paramilitary Forces from the neighboring Afar regional state launched an assault on the Somali border town.

Eyewitnesses confirmed the ethnic Afar Militants where traveling in multiple toyata pick up trucks prior to besieging Garbo Ciise. According to the locals, the militants came under stiff resistance from Somali pastoralists in the vicinity, which led to three Afar regional state paramilitaries getting mowed down in a hail of bullets before they could approach the town.

What remained of the Afar paramilitaries retreated across the border according to local residents in the border town of Garbo Ciise. This story is still developing.
