Ethiopian troops indiscriminately opened fire on civilians in the town of Buula Amiin situated in Somalia’s Bay province, eyewitnesses reveal.
Residents based in the town of Buula Amiin reveal Ethiopian troops, while on patrol opened fire on civilians unprovoked. Upon opening fire the hail of bullets struck one individual.
Local contacts have identified the victim as 18 year old Mohamed Abdi Abdullahi. Sources confirm the victim suffered a gun shot wound to the leg and is currently being treated at a makeshift medical clinic in the nearby district of Bardaale.
The Somali government and the autonomous Southwest regional state are yet to address, these latest round of atrocities carried out by the Foreign troops in the Ethiopian occupied town of Buula Amiin.
The Ethiopian military maintains a presence of tens of thousands of troops in southern and central Somalia under the guise of the US led war on terror. The brunt of these troops occupy the following provinces of Bay, Bakool, Gedo, Hiiraan and Galgaduud.
These troops routinely carry out massacres and blatant war crimes against the civilian population as seen today in the town of Buula Amiin.
