Kenyan fighter jets launched a series of strikes targeting the village of Dhibaac Garoon, situated near the town of Dif in Somalia’s Jubada Hoose province. Local contacts that spoke with Halgan Media on anonymity reveal a series of strikes reigned down on the village yesterday evening.

A mother and her two children where killed as a result of the strike hitting there makeshift shack, which they called home. The strikes carried out by the Kenyan Defence Force (KDF) indiscriminately bombing a rural village in Southern Somalia, just comes hours after Al Shabaab Militants overran a joint US and Kenyan airbase in Kenya’s Lamu province.

The aerial bombardment targeting the village of Dhibaac Garoon at the hands of the KDF can be interpreted as retaliation for the Al Shabaab attack on the joint US and Kenyan airbase dubbed Camp Simba. The identies of the mother and two children who where massacred during the Kenyan airstrikes have still not been released.

The Kenyan military has over 16,000 troops occupying southern Somalia under the guise of the US led war on terror being waged in the war torn country. The Kenyan Defense Forces (KDF) are notorious for the indiscriminate bombings of villages in southern Somalia, while there troops wantonly commit massacres and war victims against civilians.
